Mycorrhizal inoculant dusted into the planting hole is one of the few additives I still bother with for autos, because the fungi colonise the roots in the first week and stay for the whole run. The benefit is mainly better phosphorus uptake and some drought resistance, not a yield jump. It does nothing in hydro and is pointless if you feed high phosphorus synthetics.
